School Analytics
The Overview, Academics, Finance and Attendance pages: what each figure and chart means, how to filter them, and a worked reading of each.
Where analytics live, and who sees them
Analytics is second in the sidebar, with four pages: "Overview", "Academics", "Finance & fees" and "Attendance & CBT". Each page needs the permissions its figures come from, so a bursar sees the Overview and Finance, and a principal or School Admin sees all four. Every figure is counted from your own records each time the page opens. The worked examples are Greenfield College's First Term of 2026/2027.
Filtering
Every page starts with the term and the campus it is counting. Change them and press "Apply" (or "Apply Filters"). Academics adds Class Cohort, Arm and Subject; Finance adds Billing (Automatic, This term or Whole session); Attendance adds Class and a Threshold from 75% to 95%. "Reset" puts the filters back. "Export Excel" and "Export PDF" save what you are looking at.
1. Overview: the term at a glance
The Overview greets you with the week of the term — Greenfield is in Week 5 of First Term, which ends in 70 days. Six tiles follow. Pupils Enrolled: 300 across 14 arms. Attendance on the latest register day: 93.0%, 279 present and 21 absent. Fees Collected: ₦73.6m of ₦168.7m billed (43.6%), with 19 pupils paid in full. Outstanding Balance: ₦95.2m billed and not yet paid, whatever its due date. Under it, Overdue is the part of that balance whose due date has passed — ₦0 here, because none has yet. Finance uses the same two names. Average Score: 60.2%, pass rate 93.8%, Primary 3 A on top. Results Entered: all 1,536 subject results recorded, but 0 of 14 arms approved.

Overview: fees and attendance
"Fee Collection vs Invoiced Progress" plots the money collected so far (green) against everything billed (the dashed line). Greenfield bills by session, so it counts the whole 2026/2027 session: 43.6% collected and ₦95.2m outstanding. "Attendance by Class Level" has two columns per class — the latest register (dark) and the term average (grey) — against the school's 90% threshold, the dashed line named in the legend; the columns start at 50% so small gaps show. On the latest day JSS 2 led with 100%. Every chart has "Show as table" for the figures behind it.

Overview: results and admissions
"Results & Broadsheet Pipeline" follows the term's results through four steps: scores entered (Greenfield: 1,536 of 1,536, done), submitted for approval (0 of 14 arms), principal approval and published to parents. "Admissions Funnel" counts applications by stage — 5 submitted, none shortlisted, waitlisted or accepted yet. If your school has online exams switched on, "Upcoming CBT Exams" sits between them; without it the two cards share the row.

Overview: needs attention
"Needs Attention" lists what someone should act on now, each with a button that goes there: pupils below the attendance threshold, online exams waiting for a teacher to mark theory answers, invoices past their due date, subjects with less than half the pupils passing, and arms whose results are not yet approved. Greenfield has one: 14 arms' results not yet approved, with "Open gradebook".

Overview: recent school activity
"Recent School Activity" shows the last five things done in the school, newest first, each as a plain sentence with names: Demo Proprietor entered 63 scores in French for SS 3 A, for example, or Ada Obi recorded a cash payment of ₦45,000 for Chioma Obi. It spells out only what your role may see elsewhere. Without access to invoices a payment line says only that a fee payment was recorded, with no pupil or amount; without access to pupils a name becomes a pupil; and other records — expenses, payroll, staff profiles — are named only by kind, such as an expense was recorded.

2. Academics: filters and headline figures
Academics adds up every arm's broadsheet for the term, in the same way each broadsheet does. Narrow it by Class Cohort, Arm or Subject. Greenfield's Overall School Average is 60.2%, above its lowest pass grade (E8, 40%); the Pass Rate is 93.8% — 1,441 of 1,536 results; the Top Performing Class is Primary 3 A at 69.1%; and no subject is below the 50% target. The buttons at the top download the broadsheet, the rank order and the ministry portfolio for one arm, named under them.

Academics: grades and subjects
"Grade Distribution by Class Cohort" has one bar per class, split by your grading scale from A1 (dark green) to F9 (red), with the class's pass rate on the right. Read it for long red ends: JSS 2 has 20% of its results at F9 and the lowest pass rate, 80.2%. "Subject Benchmark vs Target (50%)" lists subjects from the lowest pass rate up; the tick on each bar marks 50%. French is lowest at 69.8% and Mathematics next at 84.8%.

Academics: arms and boys and girls
"Class Arm Standings" ranks every arm by its average, with its pass rate: Primary 3 A is top at 69.1%, JSS 2 A bottom at 51.0%. "Gender Academic Parity Index" compares boys' and girls' average in each subject; the index is the girls' overall average divided by the boys'. Greenfield's is 1.08 — girls are about 8% ahead overall, most of all in French.

Academics: the heatmap
The heatmap puts every arm against every subject, coloured by the arm's average: dark green 70 and above, green 60 to 69, orange 50 to 59, red below 50. Red cells are where to look first — at Greenfield, JSS 2 A in French (37.8) and Mathematics (40.7).

Academics: who needs help, and who leads
"Academic Deficiency Remediation Tracker" lists pupils graded in a failing band in two or more subjects this term, with the subjects and "Open record" — at Greenfield 16 pupils, such as Somto Akande in SS 3 A. "Academic Scholars Leaderboard" lists the top overall averages across the school, led by Ireti Abubakar of Primary 3 A at 81.5%.

3. Finance: the money
Finance counts from your ledger. If your school bills by session, as Greenfield does, a yellow note explains that the page shows the whole session; use the link in it, or Billing, to see one term. The tiles: Invoiced this session ₦168,720,000 across 305 invoices; Total Collected ₦73,570,000 (43.6%, none of it online); Outstanding Balance ₦95,150,000 — billed, not yet paid — (56.4% uncollected, on 286 open invoices); Overdue ₦0 — unpaid after the due date — because no due date has passed yet; Refunds & Waivers ₦0; and Settled to School Bank — online payments paid out to your account — ₦0.

Finance: which classes have paid
"Collection Rate by Class" ranks classes by the share of their bills paid, with the amounts. Primary 3 has paid the most (50.1%, ₦5.7m of ₦11.4m) and SS 2 the least (32.4%) — a place to start chasing. On a wide screen the list scrolls inside its card: scroll it to see every class, or open "Show as table". Below the weekly collections chart, the takeaway names the strongest week.

Finance: how and what was paid
"Payment Channels" splits the money by how it arrived — all of Greenfield's ₦73.6m came as cash. "Arrears Ageing Buckets" groups overdue money by how long it has been overdue, with "Chase arrears"; Greenfield has nothing overdue yet. "Fee Item Realization" shows how much of each fee has been paid: Tuition 43.6%, Application 0%. Below these, the families with the largest overdue balances and the online payments paid out to your bank.

4. Attendance: the roll call
"Attendance & CBT" starts with the register. The Threshold is the attendance a pupil should keep above; the school's default is 90%, and Greenfield's pupils are all above it. Raise it to 95% and press "Apply" to see who is slipping: Attendance on Fri 9 Oct 93.0% (279 of 300 present); Term-to-Date Avg 94.0%, Primary 6 leading at 94.3%; Marked Late 3.0% (89 marks — the register records late, not an arrival time); and Pupils Below 95%: 180 of 300. Greenfield does not use online exams, so the CBT tile says Switched off; a school that does sees its exams on the "Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Hub" tab.

Attendance: which days
The daily heatmap has a square for each school day of the term, coloured from dark green (95% and above) to red (below 85%). Its takeaway reads the pattern for you: at Greenfield, Monday is strongest (94.5%) and Friday weakest (93.0%).

Attendance: the watchlist
"Chronic Absentees Watchlist" lists the ten pupils with the lowest attendance under the threshold, with their arm, days absent, absence rate and days missed in a row, and "Open record" to see the pupil. At 95%, Chinedu Oyelaran of Primary 2 A heads it with one day absent out of ten (10.0%). Further down the page, every class and arm's attendance and the split of register marks. "Roll Call Log" at the top opens the registers themselves.
